Sadly Matt Simmons died prematurely last Sunday. Just about anyone who knows about peak oil knows of Matt, his book "Twilight in the Desert" has done as much as any other to inform us of the imminence of the problem. It's a bit scary how the comments focus so much on the alleged right to carry firearms. I can see why thoughts lead that way, but it isn't particularly attractive.
