Can anyone advise of a source of woven hurdles ( preferably hazel) or materials to make my own- has to be within reasoanble travelling distance of Black Isle.

I'm not sure how well they'd work for hurdles, but Brahan Estate have some overgrown coppice willow, left over from a biomass fuel experiment. You'd need to cut it yourself, and it might now be too big to weave - you'd have to hunt through it to see. It's easily accessible from the A835 between Tore and Contin, on the left a bit after the sign to the estate office.

We are part of the rapidly expanding worldwide Transition Towns movement. The Black Isle is a peninsula of about 100 sq miles ENE of Inverness in Scotland, UK.
