Website Survey results out now
20 March 2015
Thank you to everyone who managed to find time to complete the recent website survey. The results have now been posted to the website documents library, and can be viewed at Resources / Document library / Website from the site menu.
A total of 51 responses was received, which represents the equivalent of about 36% of TBI membership and 20% of the newsletter circulation list. The write-in responses in particular include a very wide range of suggestions as to how the website could be improved and the awareness and activities of TBI be extended and developed for the benefit of Black Isle residents, while maintaining the Transition movement's essential concerns about energy use and climate change. A major review of TBI's aims and activities is planned for the near future, and in carrying out this review the Directors will give very serious consideration to the many issues raised by rhe survey responses.
On a particular practical point, several respondents referred to the usefulness of getting email notification of posts to a forum in which they were interested. This is very easy to set up, instructions on how to do it were in the February newsletter, and are now also on a new 'Forum help' page under Forum on the website menu. Also on the forum, one respondent said 'why not focus on one topic and invite members to join in?' So why don't we build on the interest in the future of TBI demonstrated by the response to the website survey, and open up an extended discussion in the forum of the issues raised? There is a new thread under Discussions called 'Ideas for TBI 2015', and I am sure there are enough ideas out there to fuel a lively discussion. Please reply to the thread and let us hear yours.
