TBI proposals submitted for potential BIP Landscape Partnership funding bid

04 October 2016

The Landscape Partnership scheme is a Heritage Lottery fund initiative to provide potentially large amounts of funding (up to £3 million) for schemes designed to help conserve landscapes and get more people involved in understanding and looking after them for the long term, recognising that landscapes are an important part of our past and play an important part in our lives today.

A working group of the Black Isle Partnership, supported by Transition Black Isle, is in the early stages of preparing a bid for Landscape Partnership funding for the Black Isle, and TBI has submitted proposals, suggested by its members, for possible inclusion in the bid.

Information about the scheme and TBI's draft proposals is available on the website at Environment / Landscape Partnership.

We are part of the rapidly expanding worldwide Transition Towns movement. The Black Isle is a peninsula of about 100 sq miles ENE of Inverness in Scotland, UK.
