'Getting Started'
10am-1pm
This first session of 2018 will cover the following :
the beginning of the growing year, planning what to grow, the importance of crop rotation (with some examples), thinking about saving seed and how to plant for that.
How to care for a greenhouse and what to consider if growing in one.
This will be a session with input/ discussion and opportunity to ask questions. There will be practical activity - how to clean/prepare a greenhouse for the year ahead.
Tutors : Toni Clarke and Maggie Wormald
Cost : by donation (suggest £5-£10)
Venue : private garden in Redcastle (address provided on booking)
Tea/coffee provided
Come dressed for outdoor garden (incl footwear) and current climate conditions !
Bring garden gloves if you have them.
Possibly suitable for children, under supervision of parent/carer.
