A great favourite at Resolis, master piper, whistle player and composer, Ross Ainslie teams up with Tim Edey, a highly rated guitarist and melodeon player to bring their unique blend of traditional roots music to Resolis as part of this years BLAS festival.

Tim is a well-established solo artist & former BBC Musician of the Year and is The Chieftains’ guitarist and accordionist of choice.  Ross was voted Composer of the Year at the 2015 Scots Trad Music Awards & has released 4 solo albums to date.  Previous visits to RCA include with Ali Hutton, India Alba & Lau, he also performs withTreacherous Orchestra, Salsa Celtica, Dougie Maclean and others.

Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band members, Ingrid Henderson & Iain MacFarlane, completee this BLAS double-bill.

Ingrid was the youngest ever recipient of the Radio 2 Young Traditional Musician of the Year award and is recognised as one of the finest piano & harp instrumentalists in Scotland today, playing with Gaelic supergroup Cliar, Blazin’ Fiddles and more recently with Margaret Stewart.  Iain has been immersed in Highland music and song all his days. A Blazin’ Fiddles mainstay over the past 20 years, with musical collaborations with Boys of the Lough, Phil Cunningham and Iain MacDonald, on the side.  Both Ingrid and Iain are members of the toe-tapping Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band.
