Black Isle Repair Cafe volunteer evening

18 August 2022, Starts: 18:00, Ends: 21:00

Thursday 18 August  6.00 - 9.00  Fortrose Free Church Hall

Gillian Newman has emailed an invitation to volunteers

Before we held our first taster event in Avoch, we had a volunteer evening for volunteers to meet each other, have a go at a few repairs and learn more about the repair cafe movement and our plans.  Many new volunteers have joined us since that event and also we have had that taster event but all volunteers did not manage to attend.

So we thought it might be good to have a second volunteer event in August to meet new volunteers, chat through what we have learned so far and discuss/sign up to future repair cafes.

The event will be a “zero-waste bring and share supper”.  We will supply teas coffees and nice juices if folks can bring along food to share (and take away any leftovers to prevent waste). The event is on: Thursday August 18th At Free Church Hall Fortrose From 6 pm - 9 pm.

Future repair cafes over the Black Isle are in the planning - further details will be sent as soon as things are finalised so you can put in your diary if able to volunteer on any of those days.

Please let me know if you are able to join us.  If you have a small repair to bring along, like last time, that will let new volunteers get the gist of how we do it, but let me know in advance so we have the right stuff with us.

Gillian Newman.
