Planning application 16/04693/FUL is for the location of 30 shipping containers, to be used as self-storage units, at Corntown steading on the B9163 between the Conon Bridge junction on the A835 and Alcaig. Ferintosh Community Council and four individuals, presumably local residents, have objected to the application on the grounds of loss of amenity, traffic and drainage problems, and the inappropriateness of the proposed development to the rural location.

The case officer is Rebecca Hindson in the Dingwall Planning Office (01349 868432), who is currently on sick leave. Alternative contact is her team leader Julie Ferguson (direct line 01349 868427)  or email  julie.ferguson@highland.gov.uk

The link to the application on Highland Council Eplanning website, where you can see plans and documents relating to the application and view comments from statutory consultees and members of the public, is

Please contribute your views to the discussion by replying to this post, and make them known to the planners by making a public objection or comment on the eplanning page.  (You have to register and login, but it's easy to do).  Don't be put off by any 'consultation expiry dates' given on the page - they are not enforced.
