Sorry about the turn-off title, but thought there may be some interest in the final report on food by the Sustainable Development Commission. To paraphrase Tim Lang, the lead author, "the challenges haven't disappeared just because the body appointed to advise government on them has been abolished."
The report's at http://www.sd-commission.org.uk/pages/looking-back-looking-forward.... - lot's of hard-hitting stuff, very difficult to disagree with any of it, but for a government set on doing nothing about sustainable food production, it clearly didn't go down well!

And, incidentally, there's a lot more very pertinent work available from the SDC website.
