Success for council pensions fund divestment campaign

Divestment from General Dynamics now likely
The publication in the agenda for the Pensions Committee meeting held on 22 September of the minutes of a meeting of the Investment Sub-committee on 12 March 2021 has revealed that at that meeting the sub-committee agreed to take their investment business away from the fund managers who had made the investment in General Dynamics, and ensure that the funds were re-invested by a new manager according to responsible investment principles.
