Zero Waste Food Challenge 2024

*September 2024

This resource is designed to help individuals and households reduce food waste, as well as packaging waste in the kitchen, at every stage of the food waste journey.

It builds on the Zero Waste Kitchen Challenge developed by MOO Food in the Black Isle, and expanded by the Highland Community Waste Partnership.

New workshop series starts October

We've partnered with some fantastic local businesses, people and groups to bring you this 6 week block of fun & creative workshops to help you reduce your food waste, save money and learn some new skills.

A new series of in-person workshops in two locations in Muir of Ord starts on 1 October.

To secure your place, please book the session(s) you wish to attend via Ticket Tailor

https://buytickets.at/transitionblackisle

All workshops & resources are free thanks to funding from Highland Community Waste Partnership. Each person attending a workshop will receive handy tools to make reducing food waste easier too.

Online challenge to do at home

If you can't attend the workshops, you can now take the Zero Waste Food Challenge from home.  Visit www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/zerofoodwaste to find the short videos and PDF's with small changes that we can make from our own homes across the 6 topics of the food waste journey.
