My first spring here, 2007, I saw well over 150 swallows on the Netherton power lines. It's dropped every year and now there are at best 10 swallows flitting about Netherton, I've not seen more than 2 on the power lines at once.

This is about a 20 fold reduction in 4 years, and the reduction has been a steady, incremental one. Within one or two years there may be none. Does anyone know why?
