After the event
Last Saturday saw over 700 people through the door at North Kessock Village Hall for another successful TBI Potato Day. Over 40 different varieties were available, and sold like the proverbial hot cakes, with the result that we had fewer 'leftovers' than on some previous occasions. This partly planned outcome (we ordered less), meant that although we were able to supply local primary schools and Incredible Edible Inverness there will unfortunately be no seed potatoes available at community markets this year.
TBI trustee Julie Gibson, the event's organiser, was prompt in emailing the many volunteers to thank them for their contribution to the day's success, and she herself is owed an enormous debt of gratitude for all the hard work she devoted to its organisation.
