CARES Conference 2023: Community action on renewable energy
19 September 2023
Tuesday 19 September 2023
DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge Street Glasgow G2 3HN
(The hotel is close to major public transport hubs. Cycle parking is available in the hotel’s underground car park).
Join us this September for our annual CARES conference which will take place in central Glasgow.
The Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) supports communities to engage, participate and benefit in the energy transition to net zero. This year we’ll be looking at how even more communities can take action on renewable energy, from decarbonising community buildings through to taking shared ownership in windfarms.
In our plenary sessions we’ll be joined by Gillian Martin MSP, Minister for Energy and the Environment. We’ll hear from organisations and communities that are taking innovative approaches to community engagement as well as those that are working to decarbonise heat. We aim to bring you inspirational case studies as well as the policy and learning behind the action.
