Zero Waste Food Challenge with HCWP

04 April 2024

Highland Community Waste Partnership is launching the

Zero Waste Food Challenge . .

. . in a series of local workshops from mid-April to July.

Laura Donnelly, Project Officer for HCWP, writes

We are holding a series of 6 workshops designed to take you through the food waste journey and take steps to reduce the amount of food going into landfill. The first is on the 25th of April, however we hoped you would sign up before the 18th to join in with measuring your food waste. This isn't essential though to join in with the challenge.

We'll cover everything from tips on meal planning to creative recipes for leftovers, fermenting and pickling, and growing your own food, to composting.  Joining in will help inspire you to make small changes that make a big impact.  We will be coming together to share ideas, swap recipes, and inspire each other to make a difference.

Places must be booked via Eventbrite, and if you book a place before the 18th of April, you can join in, measuring your food waste.  Not to worry if you are a little late booking, or can't attend all workshops, please just book the ones you can attend.  You'll still receive the guides and can follow the challenge at home.  We're on hand to answer any questions along the way.

All the workshop dates and details are on the Events Calendar.
